All good things...

With Christmas Day quickly approaching, I just wanted to say "Merry Christmas" to those who occassionally pop-in here to see what I'm doing. While I can't wait to put 2010 behind me, due to the trials of life and the numerous brick walls I've smacked hard against over the year, my brand new goals are to invest within; with family and my own personal projects, ie, going back to the drawing board and re-creating the Stanleyart Brand.

No one may get it, or buy it, but I'm just too stubborn to quit trying.

I hear ya Ho'

I have some of the same goals...some new also. But it starts with digging deep inside...looking for what's right and building on that.

I still must take work to pay the bills...but I also know that I *need* to work for *myself* as an artist to really get satisfaction out of my work. If not, I should just go get a retail job!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

John,

You and I are thinking along the same lines then. Retail looks more and more attractive to me. My sense of self-worth has hit an all time low, and I'd prefer the stock-room of a department store vs. the drawing board lately.

The trading cards can be challenging, mostly due to the uncertainty of the card stock Topps is providing us.

Ho Ho Ho, Ho!

John,

Can you post some of your sketchcards on the Ho'art forum? I'd love to have your links to your blog and videos as well. All who visit would enjoy.

thanks,
Steve

Yep, and with all the "online" fulfillment stores now, what *we* create can be distributed in many ways.

I plan on creating things for myself and selling them thru stores like "Zazzle" and the like!

Maybe even doing some "stock" art?

Work that can be re-used has always been some what attractive to me as a way to get an unexpected check!

Keeping a good balance of work for me and work for them is the plan...
